The Origins of Life Do Not Depend on Darwin

I would point out that about half of all scientists consider themselves religious. However, that doesn't make them theists, and it doesn't mean they don't see "intelligence" as something beyond the anthropomorphic God created by humans. Many scientists have offerred that this world, such as it is, could not have been the product of intelligence--it would be an insult to any self-respecting God. But, the fact is, life has been created in the laboratory, so the origins of life do not depend on Darwin. If Mr. Plyler wants to find out about this he will have to read some texts on cosmology and microbiology.

We don't need fossils, but they are helpful. The earth was without organic life of any type for far more time than it has supported life. There were constant lightning storms for hundreds of thousands of years before the earth was even able to support life under the sea where, of course, there was no oxygen. This is the way scientists have used the six basic gases of the universe (and of earth) to bombard them with electrical charges (lightning) until they begin to form the compounds that presage the beginning of the process of creating life.

Yes, Darwin is not the last word in evolutionary theory, but it is not because he has been disproven--it is because his science has been supplemented by new theories, such as symbiogenesis, which explain some phenomena (such as reproduction without sex) not explained by Darwin.
